Useful Information:

Town: Selkirk
County: The Scottish Borders
Region: Southern Scotland
Route Description:

East to west: Cracking route out of Selkirk hugging the River Tweed all the way to Peebles, taking in some nice corners and short straights, stopping in Peebles for a quick refreshment.  Onwards to Stobo and the countryside soon becomes quite rugged with wide open valley - a truely stunning piece of tarmac.....into forestry and uphill towards the next stopping point which should be the Devil's Beeftub....downhill from here, but careful as its like a top speed rollercoaster all the way into Moffat. Stop here and soak up the biker atmosphere.  Carry on southwards and take the road to St Mary's Loch, take it easy as there are hidden dips and quite narrow in places...watch out for sheep!  Stop at the Grey Mare's Tail and further on at the Glen Cafe.  From here all the way back to Selkirk, you follow the Ettrick Valley, where some difficult corners prevail....take it easy but enjoy!
